I-43 Construction

As of Saturday, January 6, the Highland Road overpass along with the southbound and northbound entrance and exit ramps are open again.

This construction project is a part of the I-43 major rehabilitation effort of The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). It spans 14 miles from Silver Spring Drive north to WIS 60, in Milwaukee and Ozaukee counties.

Directions to ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½

From the north

From Green Bay and other northerly points, you can take Interstate 43 south to exit 87 (Highland Rd). Turn left onto Highland Road and cross the overpass to ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½.

From the south

Coming from Illinois or other states south of Lake Michigan? Take Interstate 94 to Milwaukee, then Interstate 43 north to exit 87 (Highland Rd). Turn right onto Highland Road to ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½.

From the east

From points east you'll have to either go through Chicago or Upper Michigan. There is a shortcut though: two car ferries cross Lake Michigan. The comes in to Manitowoc, WI about 65 miles due north of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½. comes to Milwaukee, about 20 miles south of ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½.

From the west

From Madison, Interstate 94 will take you straight to Milwaukee, then go north on Interstate 43 to ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½, take exit 87 (Highland Rd). Turn right onto Highland Road to ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½.

By train, plane or bus

You'll have to rent a car once you get here, but you can from 100s of locations all over the world. , and other charter buses run through the Milwaukee Intermodal Station seven days a week.
